Every Monday and Thursday, I publish a press-round up of all the doping and sports medicine stories in the media from the past seven days. You can read an example of these round-ups here (link).

Six weeks after Jannik Sinner won the 2024 Australian Open, the Italian player tested positive for the anabolic steroid clostebol twice in the space of eight days. In doing so, Sinner became the 13th Australian Open finalist to have faced a doping case at some point in their career. That number has since reached 14.

I went through the newspaper archives to make this exhaustive list detailing each case. The format and level of detail is identical to a similar list I produced on doping cases in track and field titled - ‘The fastest, dirtiest and cleanest 100m sprinters of all time’ (link).

With the Australian Open finals starting tomorrow, let’s go through every case.
